Thirty years ago Charles Petty’s father was inducted into the National Sports Hall of Fame for his ability to shoot a gun. Charles entered the National Speaker Hall of Fame for his ability to shoot off his mouth – which should give hope to every parent whose child fails "Conduct" in school, as he did.

Charles Petty has spoken enough to earn the designation, "Certified Speaking Professional" (CSP) from the National Speakers Association. That same organization thought Dr. Petty spoke so well it elected him into its CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame, along with such legends as Art Linkletter, Zig Ziglar, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Earl Nightingale.

The CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame is the prestigious lifetime award for speaking excellence and professionalism bestowed by the National Speakers Association. It is the highest professional speaking award given to speakers who have been evaluated by their peers and judged to be among the top professionals in the speaking profession. From thousands of speakers, only five can be inducted each year. There are currently only 168 Hall of Fame members.

Dr. Petty is also the recipient of 14 "World’s Greatest Dad" plaques, trophies and ribbons. As soon as his grandchildren can shop, he is sure to add to his trophy case!
